For Pride 2026, I was given the huge honour to create an installation alongside the AIDS Memorial Quilt in Soho. The quilit is the largest piece of community art in the world.

I created flowers emerging out of an old furnace.. Growing again, out of ash and earth collected from the gay cruising ground on Hampstead Heath.

I used achillea, known for thousands of years for its healing power, named after Achilles, the queer icon from Greek myth, who used it to heal his warriors' wounds on the battlefield. And dyer's weed, used for millennia to dye fabric. It was used to dye the Bayeaux tapestry, and the plant echoed fine stitching. 

The exhibition was called ‘IN PLAIN SIGHT’ celebrating queer art, and curated by Jack Guinness.

It was the honour of a lifetime.
